On December 5–6, Almazov Centre hosted a conference, themed “Minimally invasive technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer”. The event touched on the most relevant aspects of diagnosis, morphological verification and minimally invasive methods of palliative treatment of pancreatic cancer.
It brought together surgeons, oncologists, endoscopists, radiologists, sonologists and other specialists working in this field. The conference programme included plenary sessions, surgical broadcasts and an exhibition.
The event was attended by leading specialists involved in the practical implementation of the following areas:
— Innovative non-invasive and minimally invasive technologies in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer
— Minimally invasive technologies in preoperative morphological diagnosis of pancreatic cancer
— Potential of modern morphology and molecular biology in the assessment of pancreatic tissue obtained using minimally invasive technologies.
— Minimally invasive palliative techniques in complex cases of pancreato-biliary cancer
— Continuity and multidisciplinarity in the management of patients with pancreato-biliary cancer
The conference was held as part of the programme of the WCRC for Personalized Medicine, with support from the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
