A specialist in prenatal diagnostic and fetal growth restriction Dr. Jun Mirotsuki from the Tohoku University, Japan, met with Director of Institute of Perinatology and Pediatrics Dr. Tatyana Pervunina and Director of the Clinic Dr. Eduard Komlichenko. During the meeting, they discussed issues of early diagnostics and treatment of orphan diseases in children including in prenatal period; current approaches in application of cell technologies in obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology; and perinatal screening based on metabolomic analysis with liquid mass spectrometry.
Dr. Murotsuki visited several units of the Perinatal Centre including ICU for newborns, delivery rooms and simulation classes. Dr. Murotsuki marked the high level of cooperation between different departments of the Perinatal Centre.
