On September 25, a General Assembly of the Board Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held in Moscow.
According to the voting results, RAS academician Alexander Sergeev was elected as President of the Russian Academy of Sciences. After the President’s election on the final day of the General Assembly, the new Board was elected: 79 academicians and corresponding members headed by A.M. Sergeev will be the RAS managing team for the next five years.
Professor Evgeny Shlyakhto, General Director of the Almazov National Medical Research Centre, Chief Cardiologist of St. Petersburg and the North-West Federal District, RAS Academician o was elected a Board Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
