The annual conference of specialists in diagnostic radiology «Radiographia» took place from October 1 to 3 in Armenia. The event resumed face-to-face format of meetings after a two-year break and brought together about 400 doctors from different countries to share their experience in the advanced areas of their specialty.
Traditionally, there was a lot of interest in clinician-radiologist presentations expanding the boundaries of discussion and improving mutual understanding of doctors on topics requiring a multidisciplinary approach. The conference started with a joint presentation by the specialists from Almazov Centre dedicated to the differential diagnosis of patients with pulmonary hypertension.
Daria Karpova, Head of Diagnostic Radiology Department No. 1 demonstrated the capabilities of computed tomography, including dual-energy scanning, in the differential diagnosis of patients with pulmonary hypertension.
Maria Simakova, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Non-Coronary Heart Disease presented the diagnostic algorithm for patients with pulmonary hypertension highlighting the role of radiation methods and outlining the clinician's questions to the CT doctor.
Presentation made by the specialists of Almazov Centre aroused great interest and high praise.
