We are delighted to invite you to join us for the 4th Saint Petersburg Forum of Arrhythmology that will take place as part of the 5th Saint Petersburg Medical Innovation Forum on May 18–21, 2022.

This year’s Forum will be held as part of the Programme of the World-Class Research Centre for Personalized Medicine with support from the Russian Ministry of Health.

The Forum will spotlight hot issues in clinical arrhythmology and basic electrophysiology of the heart and discuss new treatment approaches for heart rhythm and conduction disorders.

  • Heart failure and arrhythmias
  • Drug therapy in arrhythmology
  • Arrhythmia mapping and catheter ablation

  • Antithrombotic therapy and stroke prevention

Submit your scientific session proposal

You can submit your proposal for a scientific session / symposium  before February 15, 2022.

The duration of a proposed symposium — 1 h 30 min; 4 to 6 presentations per symposium and 2 to 4 speeches per debate; at least 10 minutes should be provided for discussion.

All applications will be reviewed by Programme Committee experts and may be rejected for any reason.

In your application, please specify the full name, affiliation, phone numbers and emails of the chairs (2 to 3 persons) and speakers (2 to 6 persons, depending on the format of the symposium).

Submitted scientific sessions may be revised or combined with other applications for matching topics.

The number of scientific sessions is limited.

Abstract submission rules

Abstract submission deadline: before March 18, 2022.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Forum’s  Journal.

Submit your abstracts via the submission form and specify author’s full name, affiliation, funding (if any), abstract text. Tables and figures are not allowed. The text is limited to a maximum of 3,000 characters (excluding the title and author’s name).

Please choose the type of abstract submission: oral / poster / abstract publication / Young Investigator Award of the 4th Saint Petersburg Forum of Arrhythmology. Note that your preferred type of presentation will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Young Investigator Awardв

The award will be focused on Basic and Clinical Arrhythmology.

To be eligible for the award, the investigator must be below the age of 35 years on the date of submission.

Young investigators can submit as co-authors, including with senior colleagues, but a prerequisite is that an applicant must have made major contributions to the research concept and conduct of the research. A young scientist can be the first, second or last (main) author in the group of collaborators. Up to two co-authoring young scientists are allowed to take part in one application.

To apply for the YIA, please submit your research with a description of materials / methods, results and conclusions in one of the following formats:

  1. A full original paper submitted for the Journal of Arrhythmology (see authors guidelines of the Journal of Arrhythmology). Please specify that the manuscript is submitted for the YIA on the title page and in the cover letter. Please submit your article before March 1, 2022 via the website vestar.elpub.ru.
  2. Abstracts submitted with a young investigator as the first author. Please submit your abstracts via the conference website of Almazov Centre before March 1, 2022.
  3. Oral presentation by a young investigator. Please submit as part of your proposal for a scientific session / symposium in accordance with the above requirements before February 15, 2022, specifying that the presentation is  submitted for the YIA.

A paper can only be submitted in one category.

Best papers will be included into the Forum scientific programme and published in the Journal of Arrhythmology (indexed in Scopus, RSCI).

The Top 3 young researchers/Investigators will be determined. The winners will receive valuable prizes.

Official languages

Official languages — Russian, English. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided during plenary and breakout sessions.


The exhibition of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals will be organized during the Forum. Several satellite symposia will be held.


The 4th Saint Petersburg Forum of Arrhythmology will be organized during the White Nights, the most attractive season in Saint Petersburg. Please be informed that this is the city’s high tourist season during the year and book your hotel room in advance.
