From 3 to 7 September, the 34th European Congress of Pathology took place in Basel (Switzerland) in a hybrid format. It brought together more than four thousand specialists from 100 countries, about 200 meetings were held, about 1,500 abstracts were accepted. The exhibition featured 116 companies.
The event provided a platform to support aspiring pathologists by some guidance and assistance in their projects. The key goals of the congress were to promote excellence in research and innovation among young pathologists and scientists in the field of human pathology, exchange of experience between junior and senior researchers, to explore opportunities for collaboration and joint projects.
Russian pathologists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Omsk presented 76 abstracts covering almost all topics of the congress. They were accepted as posters. Head of Pathology Research Department Professor Vsevolod Tsinzerling gave presentations. It should be noted that the presentations of Russian scientists sparked great interest among the foreign audience.
