On September 23, representatives of the Volgograd Regional Duma visited Almazov National Medical Research Centre. The members of the delegation were: N. V. Semenova, Chair of the Public Health Committee, and R. V. Sharifov, Chair of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Fuel and Energy, Transport and Road System.
Almazov Centre was represented by Deputy Director General for Regional Programs, Head of Federal Projects Department Nadezhda Zvartau, Head of Regional Health Development Alexey Yakovlev and Specialist of Scientific Support and Staffing Department Svetlana Panarina.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of interaction between Almazov Centre with the Volgograd region, planned measures, areas for further development as well as the reserves for reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
The guests toured the Centre and visited its facilities: Analytics and Situation Centre, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Hybrid Operating Room. They highly praised the clinical facilities of Almazov Centre and expressed hope for further cooperation.
