Alexei Maslyansky, MD, PhD

 

Rheumatologist, Senior Researcher of Rheumatology Research Laboratory.

1999 – graduation with honours from Pavlov State Medical University.

2000 – internship in Internal Medicine at the Department of Therapy and Rheumatology named after E. Eikhvald.

2001–2004 – full-time PhD student of the Department of Therapy and Rheumatology named after E. Eikhvald in internal medicine and allergology/immunology.

2004 – PhD thesis entitled “Clinical and immunological interactions in patients with rheumatoid arthritis resistant to ongoing therapy”.

2007 – primary specialization in Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

At the present time, Dr. Maslyansky is a full-time doctoral student. Research topic: “Chronic inflammation, endothelial status and cardiovascular remodeling in patients with rheumatic diseases – the possibilities of pathogenetic therapy”.

Area of expertise: autoimmune diseases, autoantibodies, inflammation, immunosuppressive therapy.

Author of more than 25 articles in rheumatology, clinical immunology, cardiology and 3 foreign publications. He co-authored Guidelines for the Laboratory Diagnosis of Autoimmune Diseases, 2011.
