Prof. Irina Nikitina and Prof. Tamara Kosenkova, experts of Children’s Diseases Department with the Clinic took part in the international congress “Pediatrics without borders — 2023” being held in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) on September 25 -27, 2023 .
The event topics covered current issues of children's health, iodine deficiency prevention, and immunoprophylaxis in children and adults. During the congress, specialists discussed the cooperation opportunities for pediatricians of Uzbekistan and Almazov Centre in research, clinical and educational areas.
As a result of the visit, 5 pediatric endocrinologists from Uzbekistan attended the training cycle “Topical Issues of Pediatric Endocrinology” at the Almazov Centre. The joint project for providing medical care to Uzbekistan children with congenital hyperinsulinism was initiated.
