On 5 July 2024, a visiting meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) was held in the historical building of the Academy in St. Petersburg to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event was attended by representatives of state authorities, the scientific and educational community, and other distinguished guests. At the meeting, the Academician-Secretary of the RAS Medical Sciences Department, Academician of the RAS Vladimir Starodubov, extended his warmest congratulations to the esteemed scientist and specialist in the field of cardiology, Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov National Medical Research Centre. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, the Academician of the RAS Evgeny Shlyakhto was presented with a commemorative gift: the Cup of the Section of Clinical Medicine of the RAS Medical Sciences Department, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of national science and the establishment of a renowned scientific school in the field of cardiology.
