On December 13-14, 2016, a delegation of the Federal Almazov North-West Medical Research Centre visited the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK).
During the visit, Director General of the Centre Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto and Deputy Director General for Research Prof. Alexandra Konradi got acquainted with the work of foreign colleagues, visited the Farr Institute of Health Informatics and signed the Memorandum of Understanding aimed at the future scientific and educational cooperation in the field of value-based medicine, health economics, Big Data analysis and epidemiology of non-communicable diseases.
It is planned that the meeting will results in a number of projects:
- Joint educational programmes in epidemiology and health informatics based on the Federal Almazov Centre
- Joint research project in analysis of outcome–based medicine
- Projects in cardiovascular risks and ways to reduce CVD mortality.
