From June 15 to June 17, 2017, the Federal Almazov North-West Medical Research Centre held the training course on Interventional methods of the lower limbs arterial diseases treatment under the supervision of the Head of Vascular and Interventional Surgery Research Lab Dr. Mikhail Chernyavsky.
Together with colleagues from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Barnaul, Syktyvkar, the surgeons discussed the prospects of interventional methods. Within the training curriculum, the diagnosis, indications and contraindications to interventional treatment of peripheral arterial diseases were covered. Head of the Vascular and Interventional Surgery Department, MD. M. A. Chernyavsky and Head of the Vascular and Hybrid Surgery Department A. V. Chernov presented their lectures.
Drs. B. B. Komakha and A.A. Gusev presented the most complicated and interesting clinical cases for discussion. The course included master classes and online real-time broadcasting from the hybrid operating room, the technical aspects of endovascular procedures on the arteries of the ileum and femoral-popliteal segments were demonstrated.
Exciting scientific and practical programme, fruitful discussion aroused great interest in the audience. The colleagues shared their experience outlining prospects for further cooperation.
