The annual ranking of healthcare facilities is based on the findings from a survey conducted among the chiefs of public clinics, doctors, officials and representatives of health insurance companies. The respondents were asked to select the top five city clinics in every specialty that they believed were the best in treating diseases of a particular group.
The respondents evaluated the professionalism of doctors, the possibility to obtain an adequate and sufficient volume of high-quality diagnostic testing (the necessary facilities and expertise of diagnosticians), the possibility to receive timely medical care and a favourable price/quality ratio (if necessary to pay for all or some types of medical care).
According to the online journals DoctorPiter and Gorod 812, the Almazov Centre is ranked first in two specialties: cardiovascular and endocrinology.
