| According to the online journal DoctorPiter, Almazov Centre has been ranked first in six categories among the 2020 best public clinics in St. Petersburg.
The annual ranking of healthcare facilities is based on the findings from a survey . This year, almost 140 chiefs of clinics, doctors, officials and representatives of health insurance companies took part in the survey. The respondents were asked to select the top five city clinics in every specialty that they believed were the best in treating diseases of a particular group. The respondents evaluated the professionalism of doctors, the possibility to obtain an adequate and sufficient volume of high-quality diagnostic testing (the necessary facilities and expertise of diagnosticians), the possibility to receive timely medical care and a favourable price/quality ratio (if necessary to pay for all or some types of medical care). The 2020 ranking includes 18 categories. According to this year’s ranking, Almazov Centre is ranked first in Diagnostic Services/Instrumental Examination, Cardiovascular System/Cardiology, Cardiovascular System/Cardiac Surgery, Nervous System/Neurosurgery, Endocrinology. For Obstetrics, the Centre is ranked second. |
