The online meeting on June 17 was to discuss the current situation in Russia and Germany in the field of economics, politics and healthcare. The Russian delegation of the Health Working Group was chaired by Director General of Almazov Centre, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Evgeny Shlyakhto. In his opening speech, he highlighted the social and political significance of the meeting at a time when consolidated decisions in the field of healthcare, economics and business are more important than ever to overcome the difficult epidemiological situation.
The presentations by Evgeny Shlyakhto Experience of Patient Management during the COVID-19 Pandemic and by Deputy Director General for Research Alexandra Konradi COVID-19: Epidemic as a New Impetus for Innovation in Healthcare covered the successful strategies as well as the prospects for coronavirus infection control.
The final discussion between the representatives of the Economy and Healthcare Working Groups focused on the need to develop a consolidated plan of action by the representatives of economy, health care and business to overcome the current epidemiological situation, monitor and predict a way out of it.
