The online multidisciplinary meeting EuroNeuro 2021 was held in Paris on April 14th – 16th 2021.
The congress featured sessions devoted to the issues of neuroanesthesiology and perioperative brain protection, delirium and brain dysfunction as well as neurophysiological monitoring and treatment of status epilepticus, management of intracranial hypertension from the perspective of a neurosurgeon and neuro-intensivist, management of patients in the first hours after ischemic stroke.
The participants discussed the mechanisms and features of neuroinflammation in CNS infections, neuro-COVID.
The multidisciplinary team of Almazov Centre (intensivists, anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, functional testing specialists of the Laboratory of Integrative Neurosurgical Technologies, Laboratory of Nervous System Pathology, Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 12, Departments of Neurosurgery No. 5 and 6, Department of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Medical Education Institute) made two poster presentations: «Dexmedetomidine inhibits motor responses in spinal neurosurgery» and «A case of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis after endovascular neurosurgical procedure using ONYX.»
The materials of the congress were published in the Elsevier’s Anesthesia, Critical Care And Pain Medicine.
