The delegation included Vice Rector for Research of Samara State Medical University (SamSMU), Head of the Department of Hospital Therapy with Transfusiology Course, Chief Hematologist of the Health Ministry of the Samara Region Prof. Igor Davydkin; Director of the Institute of Experimental Medicine and Biotechnology Prof. Larisa Limareva; Head of the Department of Science and Educational Policy, supervisor of the SamSMU Boiling Point coworking space Victoria Sabanova; Head of the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Genetics Aleksey Sustretov; hematologists, associate professors of the SamSMU Institute of Hematology Olesya Danilova and Taras Gritsenko.
During the two-day visit, the delegation met with Director General of Almazov Centre Evgeny Shlyakhto and discussed the prospects for cooperation between Almazov Centre and Samara State Medical University in the field of biomedical technologies, molecular biology and genetics, hematology as well as the development of educational projects as part of the Priority 2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Program.
The guests learned about the structure of the Institute of Medical Education and its communication platform for representatives of different communities – the recently opened Boiling Point coworking space. The colleagues from Samara further visited the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics and discussed the plans for future cooperation.
