On December 14, as part of the Forum on Prospects and Opportunities for Innovative Development of Rehabilitation and Resort Facilities Based on the Successful Experience of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, executives and specialists of Russian and Belorussian health resorts and rehabilitation clinics visited Polenov Neurosurgical Institute (branch of Almazov Centre).
Konstantin Abramov, Deputy Chief for Neurosurgery, welcomed the guests and told them about the history of Institute and its activities. Prof. Natalia Ivanova, Head of Scientific Research, spoke about the development of rehabilitation services at the Institute. Nikolay Shelukhanov, Head of Medical Rehabilitation, presented the organization of rehabilitation at Almazov Centre. Natalia Lesteva, Head of ICU, told the guests about early rehabilitation. Elena Zharova, Head of Medical Rehabilitation Department, spoke about management of neurosurgical patients.
The guests highly praised the facilities of the Institute and expressed their hope for further cooperation.
