The 11th Baltic Forum on Current Problems in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation was held in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad Region) on 28–30 June. The event has traditionally been held in the Kaliningrad region for more than 15 years. The forum brings together anesthetists, resuscitators, neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, obstetricians, gynecologists, toxicologists, cardiologists and pediatricians. This year the Forum was attended by more than 200 participants: doctors, postgraduate students and residents not only from the Northwest Federal District, but also from various Russian cities (Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Kemerovo, Krasnodar, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Khabarovsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Tver, Ekaterinburg).
The opening remarks were delivered by:

• Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kaliningrad region

• A. Kondratiev (St. Petersburg), Chairman of the North-Western Association of Anesthesiologists, Chief Visiting Anesthesiologist of the Russian Ministry of Health
• Professor Yu. Aleksandrovich (St. Petersburg), Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Emergency Pediatrics, St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University, Chief Pediatric Anesthesiologist of the Russian Ministry of Health in the Northwest Federal District
The scientific programme featured 76 presentations, 53 lectures, 2 round tables, 1 satellite symposium, 1 workshop.
