From 24 to 26 January, Moscow hosted the Congress of the Russian Society of Interventional Cardio-Angiology. All areas of interventional cardio-angiology were maximally represented. Participants discussed coronary and peripheral interventions, endovascular surgery for structural disease of the heart and other organs. Aspects of neurointervention, acute and emergency endovascular procedures, specifics of interventional oncology, intravascular imaging and physiology were discussed. The experts also discussed embolization and endovascular venous surgery, hybrid surgery, organisational and legal aspects of X-ray endovascular surgery.
The specialists of the Department of X-Ray Surgical Methods of Diagnosis and Treatment at Almazov Centre took an active part in the congress. Dmitry Zubarev, Head of the Department, chaired and moderated the session on structural heart disease. Dmitry Monosov, an expert in endovascular diagnostic and treatment techniques, presented his experience with the use of PUTNIY and Ultimaster Tansei coronary stents in various clinical cases.
The scientific and practical achievements of the specialists of Almazov Centre were highly praised by the participants of the event. At the report and election meeting, Dmitry Zubarev and Dmitry Monosov were unanimously elected to the Board of the Russian Society of Interventional Cardio-Angiology. For the first time, two specialists from the same medical institution were represented on the Board.
