From November 25 to 29, the delegation of Almazov Centre visited Central South University (CSU) and the Third Xiangya Hospital of CSU in Changsha, Hunan Province, China.
The delegation members were:
- Elena Parmon, Director of the Medical Education Institute
- Irina Bunkova, head of Administrative Department
- Andrei Kryukov, head of IT Department
Their visit coincided with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Third Xiangya Hospital.
The specialists of Almazov Centre appreciated the opportunity of cooperation with Central South University for exchanging experience in the field of innovative treatment and research methods and discussed possible areas for further cooperation.
During the visit, Almazov Centre and Central South University signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at joint projects in the following areas:
- Staff and student exchange
- Curriculum development
- Joint research cooperation
- Digital healthcare technologies
- Joint international conferences
The memorandum continues the cooperation between Almazov Centre and the countries of the Asian region in the framework of cooperation with the Secretariat of the Business Council of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a permanent intergovernmental international organization that provides a solid platform for strengthening mutual understanding between its member states and facilitating their effective collaboration in political, trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural areas.
Five major areas of cooperation for further joint development are:
- Medical care (medical tourism)
- Research
- Education
- Medical information technology, SMART-hospital, E-health, telemedicine
- Congress activities.
