Major research areas 

The Department focuses on the study of molecular factors associated with smooth muscle cells in the formation and destabilization of atherosclerotic plaques as well as in restenosis process after reconstructive surgery.

Participation in State Assignments

Since 2018, the Laboratory has been actively involved in the following state assignments:

  • Circulating microparticles as endogenous carriers of nucleic acids in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and ischemic conditions of the cardiovascular system (supervised by A. Fedorova)
  • Testing the effects of the combined use of periodic pneumatic compression and programmed electrical myostimulation for arterial blood flow disorders in the extremities (supervised by A. Krutikov)
