«Studying the role of neuroinflammation and neuronal iron accumulation level in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease» (2018—2020)

Major results: When studying the effect of intranasal administration course (15 injections) of recombinant human apo-lactoferrin (25 mg/kg) on animals (rats) with rotenone-induced Parkinson's disease, it was shown that apo-lactoferrin weakens neurological symptoms, increases motor activity and reduces the number of neurotoxin injured dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of animals (s. nigra).
